Grid Asia 2006 - Play a Pivotal Role!

Preparation for GridAsia 2006 has begun. The second event in the GridAsia series will be jointly organized by Agency for Science, Technology And Research (A*STAR), Infocomm Development Authority (IDA), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National Grid Office (NGO), National University of Singapore (NUS), and Singapore Management University (SMU).

We expect a total turnout of more than 600 delegates to participate in the conference, symposia, workshops, tutorials, presentations and special session discussions, fostering active interchange of research ideas and experience. The programme and social events lined up will provide an invigorating brew of networking opportunities.

With the ardent support of industry as in sponsorship, providing speakers and panelists as well as organizing co-located workshops, the inaugural GridAsia event on 2 – 6 May 2005 at the Biopolis was a resounding success. Of the 600 attendees, one third came from 20 countries – as near as Malaysia, Thailand and Australia to as far as USA, Switzerland and Russia.

This series with the Grid Computing theme caters to everyone, from the interested individuals, practitioners and user organizations in industry to the research and development community. GridAsia promises to be an exciting major annual event for the region. It aims to bring together researchers and practitioners in Grid Computing as well as related technologies and applications.

GridAsia aspires to be an important platform to enable attendees and participants to share experiences, discuss their research findings, network and explore opportunities for collaboration. Delegates are expected to come from local and overseas academia, research institutes and laboratories, both in the public and industry sectors (such as biomedical, digital media, physical sciences and manufacturing).

As this is an excellent opportunity to reach out to influential players and users in the area of Grid Computing and its use, our enclosed patron proposal is tailored to provide you with exciting returns that will elevate your organisation presence and positioning in the industry.
