Warm Welcome to

The pursuit for science and engineering excellence have
always been (and will continue) to push the envelope and
advancement of high performance computing technology. In
recent times, new developments and challenges have emerged,
in promising areas such as nanotechnology, bio-engineering
and multi-disciplinary product design optimization. While
new and more effective computational techniques are being
developed to meet these challenges, the need for more compute
power is often a pre-requisite of these techniques. In meeting
this demand, grid computing has emerged as a potential panacea
to the thirst for computational power, in many scientific
and engineering research initiatives worldwide.
The symposium aims to bring together researchers and industry
players for an exciting round of ideas and technologies exchange.
Whilst serving to generate awareness on the potential of
grid computing, the event also provides a platform for like-minded
professionals to share their challenging scientific and engineering
problems; on how they have benefited from grid computing
or how they propose to use grid computing in their future
work.
Application domains of interest include, but are not restricted
to, computer-aided engineering, computational fluid dynamics,
computational electronic and electromagnetic, computational
chemistry, bio-engineering, intelligent engineering systems,
collaborative engineering, stochastic optimization, robust
design, etc.
