Welcome to

Grid computing unleashes the power to meet the ever increasing
demand for realism in digital media applications such as
animation, video post-production and real-time massively
multi-player online games. The results are high-quality imagery,
faster production time and unparallelled capacity for online
virtual character interaction.
The Digital Media Grid Symposium 2005 aims to gather the
latest in grid computing technology on computer animation,
post-production and games. It will serve as a platform for
industrialists and the academia to exchange valuable experience
and information in their product development and research
areas.
Through these interactions, the committee hopes to generate
not only posible cross-disciplinary synergies in digital
media applications but also world-wide interest in using
grid computing for entertainment and e-learning as well.
Digital Media Grid Symposium 2005 will showcase a rich variety
of commercial digital media applications that are supported
by grid computing and a series of technical workshops on
development and applications running on this platform.
